How Often Should You Really Get a Facial?

How Often Should You Really Get a Facial?

It's the question we hear most at the facial bed: how often is enough? Book too rarely and you never quite see results; book without a plan and you're spending without a strategy. Here's how we think about it at L'Essence.

The short answer: every 4–6 weeks

For most people, a facial every four to six weeks is the sweet spot. That window matches your skin's natural renewal cycle — roughly 28 days for younger skin, a little longer as we age. A facial at the end of each cycle clears the buildup of dead cells, keeps pores clean, and lets your at-home products work harder.

When to go a little more often

  • Active breakouts: a series of clarifying acne facials every 2–3 weeks calms congestion faster.
  • A big event: book a HydraGlow two to three days before so your skin settles to its brightest.
  • A wedding: our Bride's Glow series builds clarity over four weekly visits.

Match the facial to the goal

Frequency matters less than fit. Dull, tired skin loves an Oxygen Facial; aging concerns respond to Vitamin C or a Bio Lift; uneven tone calls for our Pigment Treatment. Not sure? That's exactly what your esthetician's analysis is for.

Between visits

What you do at home is half the result. Cleanse twice a day, never skip SPF, and keep your routine simple and consistent. We'll send you home with a short, doable plan after every visit.
